First step for preparation is finding good books.
Trust me, it's not that much easy.
First of all NCERT is a MUST HAVE book.Without it you can't even think of boards preparation or jee preparation.
So I'm providing a list of some other good & must have books which helped me a lot during preparation.
Let's start with PHYSICS...
PHYSICS
For BOARDS,
- S.L. Arora for class 12
- Past year papers(chapterwise) because yearwise papers are easily available on net.
For JEE,
- Coaching modules
- H.C. Verma ( Do it when you are low in confidence as it revises all imp. concepts in some easy questions)
- Irodov ( Do it if you have time after finishing your modules because its questions are very time consuming & brain storming)
CHEMISTRY
For BOARDS,
- Comprehensive of class 12
- Pradeep of class 12 ( Any 1 from both)
- Past year papers(chapterwise) because yearwise papers are easily available on net.
For JEE,
- Coaching modules
- Peter Sykes (organic) [Read it at the starting of organic to strengthen the concepts]
- M.S Chauhan (organic)
- Any 1 from Solomans/ Morrison & Boyd/ Paula Bruice (organic)
- JD Lee & Sudarshan Guha - Concise Inorganic (inorganic)
- O.P. Tondon (Physical)
- Peter Atkins (mainly for thermodynamics) (Physical)
MATHS
For BOARDS,
- Past year papers(chapterwise) because yearwise papers are easily available on net.
For JEE,
- Coaching modules ( Do it regularly. Completing 1 chapter in 1 day & then resting for a week will give no results & it is just same as doing nothing. So be REGULAR.)
- A Das Gupta MCQ ( Do it when you are low in confidence as it revises all imp. concepts in some easy questions)
AND DO NOT FORGET, NCERT IS MUST.
NOTE; Also remember that all these books will be productive only when you read them regularly, solve questions regularly over the entire 2 yrs of preparation. Doing 1 book for 1 month and then choosing another will do no good. So select a good book & do full justice to that.
....and !!!BEST OF LUCK!!!
